SAN DIEGO, September 16, 2021 — The following is being issued by The Naumann Law Firm, PC.
The Naumann Law Firm, PC announced today that they have recovered over $900,000 in damages for multiple homeowners.
San Diego, CA
Single Family Custom Luxury Home
Developer: Whiz Builders, Inc.
Homeowner experienced major leaks and water intrusion from the roof areas, decking, and sliding doors around the property. Staining and mold grew on baseboards and on the ceilings. After thorough testing and investigation by The Naumann Law Firm, the firm discovered the water proofing membrane was never installed on the decks by the builder, nor were decks sloped away from sliding doors. Additional defects included, missing stucco drip screeds, significant stucco cracking, a shower enclosure leaking into dining room through air conditioning register, inoperable doors, and various workmanship issues. The firm recovered $200,000 in damages after mediation with Stacy LaScala, Esq.
San Diego, CA
Single Family Condominium Owners
Developer: Confidential
Homeowners had a history of multiple workmanship issues inside and surrounding their property. Defects included stucco cracks, interior door issues, and missing secondary overflow valves. Missing overflow vales caused water damage throughout units. Additionally, the developer installed water heaters manufactured for interior use, outside on unit balcony decks. This severely decreases the life span of the heaters and poses a significant fire hazard. The firm recovered confidential monetary damages for our clients after mediation with Matt Argue, Esq.
Carlsbad, CA
Single Family Home
Developer: Confidential
Homeowner experienced numerous stucco and drywall cracks throughout their home. Additionally, the homeowner’s pool shell was continually cracking and was losing water. The claim brought an action against the developer and the subcontractors who worked on the property. Our firm’s experts discovered the soils under the property and pool to be problematic. The soils issue also caused vertical displacement around flatwork and block wall deterioration. After mediation with Ross Hart, Esq., our attorneys secured a significant monetary settlement on behalf of our clients.
El Centro, CA
Single Family Homes
Developer : GHA Enterprises, Inc., et al.
Multiple homeowners in the community had ongoing workmanship issues and material defects. Major defects included improper landscape drainage towards the house, failing window conditions, hardscape deficiencies, block wall cracking, severe stucco and drywall cracks, and mechanical and electrical failures. Our firm successfully negotiated a monetary settlement for the homeowners after mediation with Jim Roberts, Esq.
San Diego, CA
Single Family Townhome
Developer: San Dieguito Development, Inc., et al.
The homeowner recently moved into a newly constructed townhome but had a very poor experience with the workmanship and finishes. The retaining wall at the exterior of the property was not constructed to code and was allowing water intrusion into the garage. The failed retaining wall also allowed water into ground floor living areas, damaging the flooring and baseboards. Other defects included, uneven flooring, door separation, multiple stucco cracks, and ponding on the roof deck. The Naumann Law Firm recovered $105,500 in monetary damages for the homeowner after mediations with Stacy La Scala, Esq.
